CHRISTIAN GALINDO, ATC, Performance Specialist
Christian is from the small town of Salina, Kansas. He is a self-proclaimed hard worker. Christian graduated from Sterling College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. He attended East Strasberg University where he worked as a Grad Assistant and received his Master’s degree in 2020. While attending school in PA, Christian worked as the Athletic Trainer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Pittsburgh Penguins AAA team.
Christian tries to go outside the mold of athletic training and focus a lot on sports conditioning. In his experience, he has found that there is no one right way of treating a patient; rather it is a unique mix for each patient to see the best outcome.
Christian aims to treat his patients, not just as athletes but, as a person for more than their face-value. Christian believes everyone has depth of personality and tries to treat patients as unique individuals. He attributes much of his success, as a trainer, to being able to make a patient feel comfortable.
“If you work hard enough, anything is possible.”
Christian says that his biggest motto for life is that. “If you work hard enough, anything is possible.” He is proud of his accomplishments and attributes them to his hard working mindset. Every summer break Christian would work to pay his way through college and he is the first in his family to graduate with a college degree.
Christian looks forward to exploring Gillette and the different hiking opportunities around the area. Christian is used to small town life and enjoys a “homey” environment. For those reasons, he feels that Gillette will be a great fit and looks forward to the professional growth that he can expect under the team at GPT. He also enjoys reading and considers himself a bit of a bookworm. Christian looks forward to continuing to grow and develop his knowledge, as a trainer, through reading.
